Innovation builder, bridge-maker, and Moon Shot creator

Christopher Hoftun was an entrepreneur, innovation leader, and dynamic communicator who worked at the intersection of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship in Silicon Valley.

He was passionate about using technology not as a buzzword, but as a practical force for solving real operational problems — making complex systems more connected, more transparent, more sustainable, and easier for people to work with.

Christopher's journey moved through some unusual worlds: professional football in Brazil, Mars research at NASA Ames Research Center, Silicon Valley, Stanford University, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship.

He has co-founded a B2B SaaS company, where he worked with innovation, alliances, and supply chain transformation. The company was part of developing digital collaboration platforms for logistics and port operations, connecting ports, shipping companies, and service providers in one system to make port operations more efficient, safe, and sustainable.

Christopher has been part of the ONS Innovation Award jury since 2023, helping evaluate technologies and solutions shaping the future of energy.

He also took part in the journey of one of Europe's largest EV charger companies as an early employee, helping build a company that is today listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

He was recognized in ways such as being selected as one of PwC's 36 most talented students in the Nordic countries and winning the Outstanding Capstone Presentation Award at Boston University.

But Christopher was the first to say that none of this happened alone.

He believed strongly in the power of being surrounded by great people — mentors, colleagues, founders, engineers, customers, partners, friends, and teams who challenged ideas, opened doors, and made ambitious projects possible.

For Christopher, innovation was not only about technology.

It was about people.

It was about bringing different worlds together and creating enough energy in the room for new ideas to become real.

His personal motto captured that spirit:

"Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face — but wherever innovation lives, creativity is still out there having fun"
